Outside Homún, between dirt roads and milpa fields, Cenote Maní-Chan is really a two-cenote visit sold as one stop, and it has very little to envy in better-known places across the state. The first is a closed cave cenote. The low ceiling, dim light, and silence make the descent feel like entering a different world. Local reports place its depth at around 45 meters, though most visitors stay close to the edge while swimming. The second, known as Clotilde, is semi-open: daylight reaches the water and tree roots hang down until they almost touch the surface. Both cenotes tend to feel temperate rather than shockingly cold. A small moto-car carries visitors between the two, covering the roughly 800 meters that separate them. There is also a pool area on-site. There is no official website, so reservations are usually handled through WhatsApp or Facebook, and the owners explain how to reach the property because the access road is not paved.
